“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “thank you,” that
would suffice.”
~Meister Eckhart
Well, here it is, Day 1 of the Think Thankfully 30 Day
Gratitude Challenge! I’m keeping my ‘promise’ and posting my Day 1 thoughts. I
hate promises because I truly believe that when they are made, they must, at
all expense, be kept. Sometimes, my days get so hectic I am unable to get to
blogging (hence the HUGE gap in posts as of late), but I PROMISE I will attempt
the 30 Days of posting to coincide with the 30 Day Gratitude Challenge!
Gratitude/Thankfulness is a powerful tool for everyone to
possess. In fact, practicing daily
gratitude/thankfulness is a vital part of my evening ‘calming down’ rituals.
When we say thank you to whatever higher power you believe in (for me it is
God/The Lord Jesus), in effect we are asking for more blessings to come pouring
into our lives without even realizing it! We express our profound and heartfelt
gratitude/thankfulness for the simple things and soon we begin to realize that
everything around us has qualities worth being thankful for.
So, at this moment on Day 1 of the Challenge, I am thankful
for all my friends who have given me support in the form of words and kindness
when I was feeling annoyed at a situation (out of my control – I acknowledged
it, accepted it, couldn’t change it and so I moved right along!) AND for their
supportive shoulders this weekend as my babygirl turns 16!
Think Thankfully!!!
